Broccoli Rabe (bunched)

New!

Broccoli rabe — also called rapini — is a leafy Italian green that’s related to turnips, not broccoli. Pleasantly bitter, garlicky, and deeply savory, with tender stems, leaves, and small florets that all cook at the same rate. The bitterness is the point: blanch it first to mellow the edge, then sauté with olive oil and garlic. A classic with Italian sausage and pasta, or alongside any rich, fatty protein.

Full Belly Farm was established in 1984 by Dru Rivers and Paul Muller on 400 acres in the Capay Valley of Northern California, certified organic since 1985. Now in its second generation with the Muller family at the helm, the farm grows over 100 different crops including fruits, vegetables, nuts, and flowers, with roughly 80 employees year-round. The farm prioritizes cover crops for soil health, selling within a 120-mile radius, and integrating long-term environmental stewardship with farm production.
