Twin Peaks Orchards
Snow Leopard Melon
$8
Unit price / perTwin Peaks Orchards is a 102-acre certified organic farm in Newcastle, CA, in the Sierra foothills — founded in 1912 by the Nakae family and now in its fifth generation. The Snow Leopard is a personal-sized Asian honeydew variety with a striking ivory rind speckled with green — as distinctive to look at as it is to eat. The flesh is white, dense, and crisp near the rind, turning softer and juicier toward the center, with a sweet, floral flavor and notes of honey and pear. Milder than a cantaloupe, more complex than a standard honeydew. Leave it on the counter to finish ripening and the aroma will fill the kitchen. A summer specialty you won't find at the grocery store.
Each order comes with one melon.
