Blenheim Apricots (clamshell)

$8

~ 1 lb
New! Short Season

Blenheim apricots are a rare heirloom variety treasured for their rich, concentrated flavor and old-fashioned sweetness. Unlike modern apricots bred for firmness and long shelf life, Blenheims are delicate, with thin skin and tender flesh that may show a bit of bruising as they ripen. It's part of the trade-off for exceptional eating quality. Beloved by those who remember what apricots used to taste like, Blenheims are a nostalgic reminder of summer at its finest.

This year's crop is on the smaller side, as early heat and spring rains encouraged the fruit to mature sooner. Expect intensely apricot flavor and a texture that is dense and velvety rather than especially juicy.

For the best eating experience, leave them on the counter for 1–2 days to finish ripening. Because fully ripe Blenheims bruise very easily, they must be harvested just before peak ripeness—a delicate balance that rewards a little patience.
