Live Earth Farm was founded in 1996 by Tom and Constance Broz in Watsonville, from 20 acres of overgrazed pasture. Now 65 acres and growing 50+ certified organic crops, the farm builds soil through cover crop rotation and applies 3–5 tons of organic compost per acre annually. Tom studied agriculture at Cornell and served in the Peace Corps in Samoa, where he saw firsthand the ecological cost of industrial farming.
