Anita's Ranchita is a 19-acre certified organic farm in Watsonville that has been in the same family for over 75 years. Named after Anita Stewart, who came to Watsonville in 1938 and purchased the property in 1944 with money saved from summers working her family's homestead in Paso Robles. Today the property is still stewarded by Anita's family, including two of her great-grandchildren who live there now. Situated in the foothills of south Santa Cruz County, the microclimate is ideal for year-round growing. The farm uses low-to-no-till practices and has a stable, experienced crew focused on growing the best fruit possible while pouring back into the land.
