Queen of Vegetables is a certified organic farm founded by first-generation farmer Yadira Mendiola. What began on half an acre in 2020 has grown into a thriving Watsonville farm producing strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, and other seasonal crops. Yadira now farms at Rancho Corralitos, an innovative 177-acre collaboration designed to expand secure land access—and ultimately ownership—for Latino immigrant organic farmers. Her strawberries are a signature crop and farmers-market favorite, helping her build a loyal following across Bay Area communities. She rotates crops, plants cover crops, and farms with a deep commitment to nourishing her community and caring for the land.
